For each flag we pick three other countries from the same dataset, never repeating the answer. Same seed across users guarantees the same options.

The day's puzzle is computed deterministically from the date, so everyone playing on /daily/2026-04-24 sees the same 10 flags in the same order.

I see a flag I don't recognise — is that a bug?

Probably not. The dataset includes every ISO country, so very small states (Tuvalu, San Marino, Liechtenstein) do show up. Hover the result for the country name.
